Success is sweet as Tangerine wins Gold

Tangerine Confectionery is delighted to be awarded with the first FDQ Gold Employer Loyalty Award in recognition of its commitment to training.
In partnership with Back-up Training, Tangerine has now successfully trained over 75% of its 1300 strong workforce to NVQ Level 2 standard across their seven manufacturing sites. Awarding Body FDQ introduced the Employer Loyalty Scheme to recognise employer commitment and investment in training.  They offer three loyalty levels:  Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Pete Sanders (right), Technical Director for Tangerine who received the trophy on behalf of the company said ‘We are delighted to receive this Gold Award, particularly as we are the first Company to achieve this with FDQ.  We are seeing the benefits of investing in training as not only can it improve efficiency and staff morale, it can give organisations an edge in having to meet ever tighter audit regulations and customer requirements’.
Tangerine Confectionery is the UK’s largest, independent manufacturer of high quality sugar confectionery and popcorn.  It includes iconic brands such as Barratt Sherbet fountain, Princess marshmallows, MOJO, Taverners and Butterkist Popcorn.  The Company also produces an extensive range of gums, jellies, liquorice and boiled sweets.
